Re: 850 T5k
Even with all the mods, does your Volvo suffer from less-than-stellar low end grunt on takeoffs?
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Far from it, the torque has had to be reined in at low revs when it was mapped or i would have banana shaped con-rods, when the built engine goes in over winter it will be having a huge turbo and a gripper diff,(finances and wife permitting)matthew1 wrote:Even with all the mods, does your Volvo suffer from less-than-stellar low end grunt on takeoffs?

Yea looks like you need a diff.
Good to know in the more extreme modification world the "apple DOES fall far from the tree". That tree being the Tree of No Stoplight Grunt At All Tree.
I asked Lucky's company ARD for a loaner White Tune ECU for my T5, no reply. I'll try again.

Decided to take the duct that I had fiberglassed onto the scoop off, and instead mount one on the tmic itself, this should make it easyer for me to create a hot air extraction system to try and get rid of some of the heat build up in the engine bay when the car has just finished a quarter mile run.
I'll paint it black once I'v got it how I want it.

Tried to reply to you both via email and through PM but no response.matthew1 wrote:Yea looks like you need a diff.

Also asked about vendor status as I want to make sure I'm in compliance with the forum rules.
Thanks guys!

Welcome, Lucky. Great to have you here. I have no vendor distinction at MVS. You're free to post about your products. In fact, I (we) encourage you to post about them!
If you go on and on repetitively for months... that's another story. But please don't hesitate to start a new topic and tell us anything you care to about your chips, your company, ARD's new product releases, ARD's future products... anything.
Jesse (IVIUSTANG) gave your Green tune five stars.

I'll get in touch with you about a loaner in a few days. I'm crzy busy, got about 100 emails to reply to, etc etc. Sorry for the email bounces, I don't know what was up with those.I like this tune mostly because it makes the car smooth and not have to kick down gears to accelerate at a brisk pace, and for the promise of increased MPG at cruising speeds. Make no mistake though, this tune will make your car rip!

Well, this thread neads a bit of an update:
Top mount intercooler has now gone and been replaced with a Subaru charge cooler

Front seats replaced with Subaru ones and rear seats gone:

And most importantly, the livery has changed somewhat:

I bought a T5 motor 2 months back to rebuild and put in my NA car along with a 5 speed swap and you have inspired me to do the same thing but a little differently for my autocross and drag car. This is truly incredible!
