kiddie seat / rear armrest

Post by mark06511 »

96 GLT wagon:

Can't for the life of me figure out how to get the rear armrest / kiddie seat down. It opens about 3 inches then stops. Pulling hard causes the entire seat to jiggle so it seems pretty well secured in the seat.

There is one leather strap at the top which also buttons the kiddie seat together. Is there a latch or lever somewhere?

any tricks?

Thanks for all your help

If it is anything like the '94 we had, there are 2 plastic push in type latch releasing buttons (I believe they were bright orange on ours) a the base of the seat. If you push both of these in then the seat will pretty much collapse into the arm rest shape. Don't know if yours is the same as our was. Hope this helps.

thanks for the help.

I tried to day and it just opened. No levers or or latches for the armrest. I hope all future probems fix themselves so easily!

Thanks again
