Hi all,
I have an 05 XC90 with the high performance sound package and would like to hear some recommendations for what to set the equalizer settings at. I have no idea so I have always just left them in the center.
I listen to a variety of music so just some standard levels would be best. Thanks for any help.
Equalizer suggestions

I don't have the premium sound in my car but I have alpine type x components and a type r subwoofer.
I'll give you my settings and you can translate that to your system to see if it works. My equalizer values range from -8 to +8
Bass: +4 Mid: +6 Treble: +7 Subwoofer: +1
This setting on my system give me really good midrange and highs. There is adequate bass in the doors but most of it is taken care of by the subwoofer. I listen to a variety of music ranging from Metal to Classical.
Hope that helps.

oh those settings. sorry i misunderstood you.
I don't have exact numbers for you, but this is one of those play with it until you like it situations. I generally like to knock the bass region (29-59) to about +2 or 3. Then level out it out in the mid range (119 Hz- 4khz) to about 0 or +1, maybe -1. Then crank up the treble (8-15 khz) to about +4 to +6.
These are just general settings I use when I have a graphic equalizer and the values do vary based on the system I'm tuning. Like I said I don't have an XC90 so I don't even know what you're settings look like but hope this helps.
I also found another forum post about tuning the XC90 system. Hope it helps:

EQ setting are a rather personal thing. Kinda like "boxers or briefs".
It's time to start playing around with that EQ and embrace your inner audiophile.
No one else can tell you what sounds good to you. Totally your call. Jump in!
Have some fun with it and enjoy!
