Jump Starting

Does the S80 have to be jump started from the battery, in the trunk; or can it be jump started under the hood, where the red "+" cover is by the firewall?

I am sure that is what the red cover is for i.e. so you can connect positive of 'jumper' cable and find a good body ground for the negative cable.
