ABS/Brake failure light reset

Post by Otto2005s60 »

Hi all,

I have a 2005 S60. My abs control unit went out and I just replaced it with a used one. Everything is functioning perfectly, but I don't know how to reset the Brake Failure light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just did the same thing yesterday, but I replaced it with one from Midwest ABS. Per the Troubleshooting page on their site:
https://www.midwest-abs.com/Troubleshooting.php

"AFTER INSTALLING. You will have to drive the car to reset the ABS/TRACS/STC lights. Depending on the car, the system does a self diagnostic at 8-20mph. At this point it will clear the codes and your ABS lights should go off."

If that used unit didn't fix you up, I highly recommend that you go to that site and get a guaranteed good one! I could not be more pleased with the product or service from Midwest ABS.
