So I did the gear change in my odometer.Everything when real smooth thanks to this site. But the next time I went out after dark I realized that I popped all but one of my dash lights. They were all good when I took it out and I decided to put them back that way....I know I know! So I need to know what the dash lights are ( the #) I know they are the lights that look like the old flash bulbs. I need the # for the main ones and the number and type for the ones in the didgital read out on the bottom.
I also need to know what to do so I don't repop them when I put it back together.
Thanks!

Did you have a difficult time twisting the bulbs back in place? I had to use some needle-nose pliers to get a good hold of them and twist to their proper position. Even then, I somehow scrapped enough wire off of the circuit board to prevent two bulbs from working. I verified the bulbs still work, so I know it's the socket that's bad. I'll have to open it up and solder them back together.

If you still need bulbs, head over to IPD or FCP who both have bulb kits for the dash.

If you need several of the bulbs for the idiot lights, best bet is ebay, as the bulbs tend to be way overpriced at parts stores (though I did not check the fcp page). Online you can usually get 10 for $10. You want flosser 12v 1.2w, e.g.

The 4 large bulbs that light the instrument panel face are standard 194 bulbs those are pretty cheap at any parts store.

Yeh I need the 4 big 194 bulbs and the ones for the digital read out they must be the flosser bulbs,. Is there a procedure so I don't blow them when I reinstall? They all worked when I removed the odometer?

Yeah, those Flosser bulbs are used for the LCD display and all the dummy lights. I'm surprised you blew the bulbs in the first place. I used a C cell battery & alligator clips to test each bulb when I thought I killed them. If you test them and they're good, you'll have to look at either the metal plates within each bulb holder to make sure it's not bent out of spec, or check the wire leads on the circuit board they twist into.

Well I'm assuming I blew them they worked before I took it out and I only took out one bulb to look at it and it looked good. So I just left them.I'm thinking it's something else ....maybe? Hopefully I can investigate tommorrow.
Thanks!

When I did my 96-855t cluster, I bought all new #2821 bulbs for the idiot lights, and thought I was on my way. When I partially reinstalled the cluster I found out that almost half of the bulbs, including the turn signal lights, weren't working. I found that the holders were just enough oversize to keep them from installing correctly in their sockets. Out they all came and back to the supplier in TX and hopefully back to their Taiwanese manufacturer. I then tested all the original bulbs, using enough bulbs from another cluster to compensate for bad ones, and completed the install. If it ain't broken, don't fix it....

Hi everyone, how many of the #2821 are needed for the digital LCD panel?

Thanks!

Just two. I think those are the same bulbs for the license plate bulbs on the back, so you may want to get a few more of them - just in case...

Thanks, can anyone confirm the correct size for the digital LCD panel? Is it the same as the 4 large bulbs (#194) or the same as the warning lights with the black plastic base (2721MF)?
