code 245 Torque Limiting

Post by jbo6924 »

Just finished the Pcv replacement and took about 6 -7 hours (with my nine year old daughter) to complete. car started right up and threw the above code... had no codes before and only this one now. I suspect this is because some wiring connector was not matched with it's mate, as there is 1 connector left that I cannot find the other side of. So here's where you all come in!
This is a small connector the is close to the battery(neg side) and does not reach more than 6 inches into the engine compartment. I'm hoping someone out there can point this out as it must be so obvious I can not see it. HELP!!! this will make the job DONE.
Jim

If your speaking fo a vacuum line and electrical connecter near driver side fender, (neg battery) side, that tells me Purge Check valve. On the drivers side, front, radiator shroud, remove the big plastic air tube (connects to the airbox, bottom too.
Now, look under where the tube was, you see a Purge valve...has small vacumm lines connections and electrical conections.

Here are a few more. Let us know if you need more help.
Your TCV (Turbo Control Valve) attached to or located near the Airbox (all vacuum hoses). From TCV: Red to Turbo (bottom). Blue to Turbo Air Tube (connected to MAF sensor) side. Yellow to CBV (yellow).

PTC Nipple: (Connected to bottom of Turbo Tube black plastic) near Turbo. From PCV (Flam Trap), two lines that wrap around engine near windshield drivers side= connects to PTC Nipple. Now, a small male inlet= connect the I (from T-shape) located near front of radiator shroud to the side (small male inlet) Turbo Tube bottom right side next to PTC Nipple.
Connect a Vacuum elbow, right side front, of intake manifold.

Though the HD TCV instructions may not be for you, the hose diagram is. Same for the vacuum setup.

Thanks for the input guys, but I wasn't clear, the problem is an electrical connection. I believe that my code comes from this not being connected. Just can't find the other end!
