Just did the mounts on my dash - phew!
And now the radio doesn't work. When I first installed the radio the LR speakers did not work and I just let it be. I just re-installed the radio and now ONLY the LR speakers work.
The other problem is that the instrument dimming works in reverse in the radio.
The antenna control works. The radio inputs (XM, Disc, iPod) and band controls all work. So it has to be the wiring.
I have checked the wiring and I can't see a problem. I have compared radio and 850 wiring diagrams to link wire colors.
Does this type of problem ring a bell with anyone.
Thanks,
Confused!

Did you use a harness kit or did you splice the wiring yourself?

Sorry no.

For what it's worth I just put in an Alpine CDE-121 myself. Soldering the Alpine harness to a Volvo harness was easy. Wiring without the Volvo harness would have been much harder.
