Seat Belt Reminder

2001 S40. Just got this for my daughter and the Reminder Light NOR Chime works for either front seat. How can I re-connect this important saftey feature. Thank you . . . please provide pictures and step by step instructions if possible. -Larry

Is there a fuse for this, I have not examined the fuse box in detail so am not sure, but this is where I would start, after that try checking the holder where the belt plugs in, I am assuming there is a micro switch in there, maybe this has moved or become short.

+1 for vidzid. The fuse box is located under the dash on the far left side of the driver's side. Look at the fuse box cover and it will show you what size and where it is located. Let us know if this fixes the problem for you.

I had a quick snoop around and the seatbelt wire runs under the chair, make sure the lead is plugged in under there
