Check Engine Light with no code on my '95 850

Post by sryme »

My check engine light continues to stay on after replacing both the Thermostat and the Engine Coolant Sensor (ECS). I was getting a code 1-2-3 from port A-2. I reset it so now it gives me 1-1-1 (normal) but the light will not turn off -- any ideas?

Go through the reset procedure again: http://www.volvospeed.com/850slight.php You have to do it very quickly for it to work so practice getting a rythem to it.
Sure it's the CEL and not the Service reminder light? Believe it's done in socket A-7. Regards.

I tried resetting a different socket (A6) and that seemed to do the trick.
