2001 V70 Grinding sound

Hello everyone,

Everytime i start out right after i start my car and i'm going around 15-20 mph my V70 makes almost a sound that makes the same sound when you grind gears in a manual transmission. This sound only happens one time right after my car gets to that speed it makes this grinding or pulling sound for a second and then goes away until i restart my car and get to the same speed and only happens one time. Someone said this could be the fuel door locking, it could be a solenoid opening and closing. Also another noise i get about every 30 seconds or so with the radio on or off, is like a really short static sound and then comes around again in the same interval, any thoughts?

I think the sound you hear may be the ABS check. My s60 does the same thing, does it just after I am about 100 feet from leaving the driveway.

Yeah right after i back out of my drive way and start going forward about 15 mph i hear this almost pull sound and yes it is about 100 feet. I was hoping it would be something simple and not something that I need to replace.

Probably not
The odd thing is that many people say what this is and I believe it is, but I've owned and sold countless numbers of these cars and I have yet to hear or feel this on any of them!

None of the P2 cars in our family have done this. There have been no ABS checks that I can tell on start up.
