Matt,
I've been getting this message for over a week. The site does eventually open, but it takes me back to this message if I return minutes later:

"Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes."

Noon EST and all is working in Ohio! I was offline for about two days but got a few intermittent emails to me from some who updated on my posts.

Combination of two things - one was the addition of the Linux utility nginx - the other was me adding too many IP addresses to the "Bad IP Address" database table. So the server was spending all its time looking up everyone's IP address to check it against the list.

Growing pains. Sorry guys. Things should be ok until I try something else boneheaded. Thanks to Mario my server admin for figuring out it was the Bad IP Address table that was causing the continued downtime.

I am getting this error for days now

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 87 bytes) in /home/matt/www/matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/includes/db/mysql.php on line 249

When I click on the link to the forums.

However, if I select a topic from the MVS homepage and then follow the links within it to the forum entry, then click on the forums headings I can get in every time.

Thanks for the report, fazool. It's very useful to my system administrator. I'll pass this on.
