1996 960 a/c problems

1996 960 a/c problems

I have a 1996 volvo 960, my a/c works but after driving with it on for about 20 mins. it would stop blowing cold air. I could turn it off or shut the car off for about 15 mins and it would work again for about 20-25 mins. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I would check the A/C relay operation after the system stops making cold air. Start by opening the hood and seeing if the compressor is turning on and off.
