94 volvo 850 turbo stolen!
Re: 94 volvo 850 turbo stolen!
If you find it again, get in and drive your car back. Cops are pretty lenient when it comes to stuff like that. I had a dirt bike stolen and I was riding home from school and saw some kid riding my bike. I went home and got my other dirt bike and rode, illegally, on the road to where the kid was. Made "friends" with him and followed him to his house. Came back with a cop like an hour later and grabbed my bike back. Rode it home (again, illegally) on the road with the cop following me. I don't even think I was wearing a helmet LOL.

hahah remorse that's whats up!i remember when i was younger some kids took my brand new bike my grandmother just bought me and like a week later i saw this kid riding a parts bike (parts from all different bikes put together to make 1) and i saw my handlebars i was like wtf o hell no. i called the cops and they met me and the kid was still riding in the same area so we go down there and i notice my brakes and a couple parts from my bike. The cop asked him about it he said yea some kid gave it to me, so he made the kid give me the bike right then and there, and i may not have had my exact bike but i had some of it! haha But OK so i just fell asleep last night at around 12 and the officer on my case knock on my door at like 12:15. i gave him the name of this kids x girlfriend and the cop looked it up got the addressee talked to her and she said he did steal the car and that he keeps moving it every couple days. So the cop is gonna talk to the prosecute and judge or w.e see if he can get a warrant. i just hope when he does get finally caught, he just fesses up and says were the car is. otherwise what would happen if he is charged, would he get grand theft auto, or would it go by how much the car was worth. and would he have to pay me back or would he just got charged with the charge, or do i have to press charges or go to court?

Honestly bro, why do you care what happens to this guy? He's not a kid if he's in his twenties and he knows he's breaking the LAW!! I can appreciate your situation and respect the fact that you'll feel bad if this dude gets locked up for a long time but ultimately he's responsible for himself. Believe I know about being the offender and every time I did something I knew what I was doing. I paid for my wrongs and even to this day I still feel bad about some of the things i did ten years later. First felony offense for a non-violent conviction in N.Y usually would get you a 6/5(6months inside county jail and 5 years probation). If he's got a misdemeanor or 2 he'll still probably get the same deal. If he's got any prior felony convictions or is already on felony probation(5 years probation like I already stated), then he's in quite deep and he knows this already. A second felony conviction would probably warrant some State Prision time, maybe 2-4 years, where he'd probably get out after 18 months for good behavior and finish the rest of his time on supervision(parole). If he has money for a paid attorney and bail money he might only get misdemeanor probation(3 years) with no priors and maybe a County bullet with 1 non-violent felony conviction(really good Lawyers). Most likely if he has a prior felony conviction(s) he'll end up doing State time in prision not County jail. I hope this helps you decide your next course of action. Personally I'd want my ride back, especially since the insurance coverage had just lapse. I'd give the Detective/Officer all the info I had, including my source and let them do there jobs so I don't get caught up in something.hanzbe420 wrote:no he is not a minor he is like 20-26 and the car and items in it was at least 2500 so i no that's defiantly GTA so whats the sentence for this. if its your 1st offence to lets say if u already have a bad record. what do you think.

That is just sad. Can you at least determine where the car is currently located, take a second set of keys, and go get it.

OK so turns out it did get towed and the police were never notified, or they were notified but they gave the wrong license plate number to the police when they towed it so the police didn't no as of now its still marked stolen and they want 550$ to get it out its been in there sense the 7th of september and got stolen on the 28 of October how the hell is it 550$? and on the tow slip they made 3 mistakes they put the wrong license plate number, the wrong model they put 870 T wtf is a 870, and the addressee was wrong. it seems to me as if they put all that info wrong and report it wrong so they can acquire a new car, so now the guys being an ass and doesn't care saying the police messed up and blah blah blah, but i called the police and they said the car was reported with the wrong info that's why i was never notified until i get this letter in the mail almost 3 weeks later. but the cop says he has a recording of the dispatch lady giving the wrong plate number. is there anything i can do about this? there trying to scam my car away from me and i no this scam very well, i looked up online and its happen to countless people. so now i am waiting for the officer that is in charge to call me tonight cause he works 3rd shift and and wont be on till like 12. but hes probably gonna be pissed cause even he called all the towing places. and even at 1st the cops were saying they weren't even registered to tow for that area.

do you think i will win if i contest the tow? and them not reporting the right information? the guy is trying to say the cops messed up the information, but the cop said they have the dispatcher on audio reporting the wrong information, now i no u didn't mess up 3 times on the tow slip. its plain to see there trying to get my car. i would of only had to pay like 100 bucks if i was notified on the 7'th now i am screwed with this bill all cause i lost my keys and some chump stole it

ok so now the guys calling me back in 20 mins to make a deal to sell the car. i want at least 1 grand if he tries to low ball im not doing it. i looked up the value in nada it said for rough trade its 1450 and for average its like 2500 or 2200. i dunno what they go by and how they judge it. but do you think i will get at least 800? otherwise im not doing it. and i am still contesting the tow so if i contest the tow will he be able to buy it from me still and if i do win the contest do i get the car back or just the amount of the tow bill till the date on the letter the 14th. so from the 7-14 i should only have to pay sence they didnt notify the police correctly. but i wanna no if i contest the car will they have to put a hold on the storage fees till its over, and can i still sell him the car if i go to contest the tow? please get back to me imeadiatly as he is gonna call.
