I dont understand what the alarm does on my car is it anti theft ? does sound off for break in ? Or do I go after market .How do you guys protect your volvo.THANKS

The alarm goes off for doors, trunk, hood opening.
This will alert to break in. Theft of the car is very hard to do and takes some very high tech gadgets to defeat the ignition key chip recognition system. The radios in Volvos like yours are not theft targets. Locking things in trunk out of sight fixes the problem usually.

Not many Volvos are ever stolen.
