2006 s60 2.5t question

Post by diveshark09 »

I just bought a 2006 s60 2.5T and it has 78000 K on her so I want to replace the timing belt.So should I go to the dealer or good private garage.? Is their anything else I should have replaced while they are doing the timing belt and what should I expect to pay? Thank you all.

Stay far away from Superior Volvo unless you have wheelbarrows full of cash. They do fine work but man they are expensive.

Most shops are very familiar with Fords and Chevys and such but not Volvos. The one local shop that I can wholeheartedly recommend is Kansas City Autosport over in Merriam. They are right around I-35 and Shawnee Mission Parkway - just behind the snobs at Aristocrat Motors on Carter Street. They will change your belt for what I'm sure would be otherwise half the price of Superior and they will do it right. I change my own timing belts so I can't really give you an idea of price but call Tyler at (913) 677-0707 and ask him I'm sure he can ballpark what it will cost.
