My 2000 S80 recently went into limp mode, i read the codes and they reveal a ECM-902A, DTC is found not active. The local shop wants $1300 for replacement. Can i just pick up one of these units from the web and have them install it? Does it need to be re-programmed? Is it possible to just have mine re-built?
Thanks.
Eric.

This was a major design flaw and is covered under Volvo's 10 year warranty, however they will replace it with another (flawed one)
Call XeModex. They rebuild ETMs with a fully contactless design guaranteed to never fail again, well at least the sweep side of the ETM is warranted for life. Here's a link: http://xemodex.com/technologyimproved/a ... tle-module
