2001 Volvo V70 strut brace mount

Hello everyone,

I need to replace my top mount, the one that connects to the strut bar. Is is better to use the poly or original volvo for decreased vibration as well as I've seen that IPD has solid strut brace mounts and volvo has the rubber mounts. Which of these combinations will basically make the vibration in the cabin go away.

miles? No experience with the iPd solid bushings, but I bit the put a bit of vibration through. I'd stick OEM unless you are going for performance.

Do you have the round or square style upper engine mount? I if you have the round I would get the ipd style polymount. If it is square just get the oem. You might want to check the transmission of mount center on the bottom front of the engine and the crank mount which it under the serpentine belt cranks. These tend to go too.

I think it is the square mount, I have also replaced the mount that is right behind the front bumper, adn the one that sits right behind the passenger side wheel. I'm thinking I should also replace the strut mount braces that are on either end of the bar that goes from strut tower to the other.

If you haven't replaced the upper engine mount, I would do that before the strut bar bushings. AT 143k if that upper mount hasn't been replaced it will cause a considerable amount of vibration. I'd go with stock over the poly if I was picking.

With the strut mount braces on either side you can take a couple of 3/4 in washers and hamer the
m on the bottom. This makes them rigid like the $100 ipd part
