audio questions

I am confused about the audio issues surrounding the v70. I want to change my stock radio to a double dim after market, but I cannot seem to figure out the process. Any suggestions welcome, as I am totally lost.

The stock radio is easy to remove. You can get a mount for a 2din from Crutchfield.com

The stock stereo IS a double DIN size.
There is no "generic" mount at Crutchfield or anywhere else.
Mounting an aftermarket double DIN HU will vary with each
unit using a mounting cage specific to that brand/model.
And the dash trim work for these installs also varies widely.

For NJSG, I'd take a very close look at the iPod adapters
that port into the 6 disc changer input on a stock stereo.
USA-Spec and Blitzsafe seem to be the favorites.

What model head unit do you have ...HU-xxx ?

Which level sound system is included in your car (base, performance, premium?)
