Will 2004 V70 Amalthea wheels run 235/50/17?

Hello all! I have a 2004 V70 2.5T with Amalthea wheels 17x7.5. Im running stock suspension and currently have 235/45/17 tires.
The roads in North Texas are terrible especially here in Dallas. Id like to put 235/50/17 or maybe 225/50/17's for a bit more comfort and keep my wheels from getting anymore banged up.

Will these fit with minimal or no rub? Any feedback would be appreciated. Or I may go 16in wheels with 50 or 55's, but would be cheaper to just get different tires on existing rims.

Hi,
235/45/17 is the recommended size as well as 215/55/16
235/50/17 will rub for sure, with 225/50/17 the speedometer will show 2% too slow
There are different websites where you can calculate the overall diameter and see which one will fit without rubbing (do not exceed 3% difference of the recommended diameter - 25.32 inch or 643mm)
