would a bad o2 sensor cause the car to stall, then not restart? 98 s70 non-turbo

I have never heard of an O2 sensor causing that symptom. My son's Altima had that exact symptom and it turned out to be the coolant temp sensor. The car was running rich because the temp sensor was telling the electronics the engine was cold. The car would stall at a light and take anywhere from 1-5 minutes to get it restarted.
