850 T-5 No Spark
850 T-5 No Spark
1997 850 T-5 197k just rebuilt the top end (blown head gasket). Not getting spark to the plugs. Car cranks fine. Confirmed that the coil is getting power on both sides. Cam position sensor and Vehicle speed sensor both check out with about 200-400 ohms. Computer gives me the p0120 code and the up shift arrow is flashing on the dash. I realize that the TPS probably needs to be cleaned however, I didn't think that it wouldn't keep the car from getting spark. My suspicion is that the alarm system is causing the no spark issue since normally when you have the cars battery unplugged and upon reconnection the alarm will sound. Mine does does nothing! Am I on the right track?

I've never tripped my alarm after having the battery unplugged.
BUT
You can try resetting the system - lock/unlock the door 3x with your key.
