Front brake rattles on 93 Volvo 850

Hi Folks,
The front brakes are rattling really bad, I can move the top of the callipers by hand which are rattling off the brake pads. I have also replaced the pads and it worked for about 100 miles and now its back. Do you have any ideas how to fix this rattle which occurs on both sides.

Could be the stainless shims were not used actually called anti-rattle or anti-squeak shims. About $6.00. If not, use anti squeal grease on back of pads and be sure the contacts points are correctly lubed. in other words, brake grease where the metal touces the metal and zip on the pads.

These stainless shims were not used, I better aquire some before I die of embarressment.
