Thi is turning into one big cluster f*&k. How the hell do you get this lower thermostat housing off with all this crap in the way. Just spent a hour moving the pwr steering pump that's why its a clear shot. Pleasze anyone out there help.

PCV can be done without removing the thermostat housing. In fact the cylinder head can be removed without removing this.

The lower manifold bolts only need to be loosened, not removed. Get yourself a 1/4 inch swivel and extension and you can work your way to that corner manifold bolt. Make sure you take both the bolts off the bottom of the manifold. One secures the dipstick and the other has a metal bracket attached to the block.

So everything is bac together, but now the drivebelt is waking of the alternator any thoughts...is there an adjustr to move the lternator over or anything like that?

Is it fully around the crankshaft pulley at the bottom?

Release the tensioner, move the belt back on to all the pulleys, and then reset it again.

i think what the problem might be is that i'm routed it unsing haynes manual for 98 and later,.....i'm an idiot ill let you know what happens!!! Oh by the way this was the old thermostat housing lower
