Gear Shift Boot Leather
Gear Shift Boot Leather
My 98 V70XC has a leather boot at base of gear shifter. It's getting old enough but is still pliable (not stiff leather) but is showing its age. Is there a good product to help preserve that leather on the gear shift boot so it will last longer?

hmmmmm....
I have an 01 and an 07 and the parking brake and the automatic gear selector (shifter) have boots on them.
Having had them off several times, I am pretty sure these are faux leather not real leather.
Leather might be salvageable with lotions and cremes. Synthetics (like vinyl) are irrepairable once they get dry and brittle.
I just sewed up a minor rip in my 01 E-brake boot.
