just did a simple mod and WOW!

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

I adjusted the waste gate 7 turns and what a hell of a diff it made,my turbo used to go only to the white line, now it will go 3,4 of the way, almost to the end.talk about a quick and good mod,it drives and pulls like a different car....love it.

WOW watch out for that if you go into boost too early you risk bending your connecting rods! Plus you are holding your pressure longer than you should. You might end up throwing an over boosting code! Your standing on thin ice with that cheap mod! I set mine when I got it to 5 1/2 psi! Not turns! I used an actual gauge tool to set it up I am now back to the stock 4.5psi that is stock on mine and running 14psi on my stock tune. When I put my tune in this weekend I'm setting it down to 3.5psi all this is due to prevent overboosting. Also get a controlled boost instead of spiking and then settling down it will come up and hold. When I had it at 5.5psi set for 14psi it would spike 19psi then settle to 14. With the wastegate set it comes up to 14psi and holds. I believe the known area of caution is under 3000rpm you don't want to build too much boost under that range mine comes out of vaccum around 2300rpm and hits 5psi around 3000rpm! I've been told its ok but still close to the "danger" area! Many people may have different opinions but mine is you must be careful about just cranking on the wastegate adjustment! Good luck and hope you don't break anything!

well lucky made a video in you tube on how to do it.you can watch it,and he turned it 6 turns and when i talk to him,he said that it is very safe procedure...go see for yourself on u tube...

he said i dont have to worry about bending rods until i get around 350hp.

Thats with a properly tuned engine....Too much boost under 3k and you can kiss your rods goodbye. I HIGHLY, and i mean, you're engine is on the verge of exploding, that you turn it back ASAP. You don't have a proper boost gauge, and if it will not go past the white line normally, there is something else wrong. Please, please, don't make this mistake. Its results are horrifying and EXPENSIVE to repair. Definitely not worth it.

Now, if yoou got your hands on some new racing rods, thats a different story ;)

AND HERE IS THE WHITE LINE _______1_______.MINE KNOW GOES ABOUT THERE,THATS NOT GOING TO HURT THE CAR ,SO WERE SHOULD IT GO WITH WHAT I DID.????? AND WHAT PSI WOULD THAT BE AT...ILL CALL LUCKY TOMMOROW AND GET HIS INPUT AND CHIME BACK.....MY CAR USED TO GO HERE _1__________ IN THE WHITE LINE...I DID EVERYTHING HE SAID IN THE VID,SO MAYBE HE IS WRONG..WHICH I DOUGHT....?

The ipd kit has everything you need, and i installed it pretty quick. It helps, and you'll be able to safely adjust your wastegate.
Another thing: too tight of a wastegate will bring on boost quicker, but it fades in the higher rpm range. So theres a perfect balance between the two.

WELL MINE PULLS HARD IN THE 4000 RANGE ,BUT IT ALSO COMES ON A LITTLE QUICKER IN THE LOW RANGE,BUT HE SAID ITS OK TO GO OVER A JUST A FEW LBS....AND YOUR CAR IS NOT A 850 TURBO, SO YOU CANT COMPARE MINE WITH YOURS UNLESS YOU HAVE HAD A 850...DOES MINE LOOK NORMAL TO YOU???

Just my opinion. Think a regular boost gauge will help keep you informed of where your at. Just don't want to see that you had engine issues. That would be a shame. No need to caps lock "yell!" It's your car I'm just lending some advice.
