What the crap?

2-3 turns at MOST.

You're going to blow up your engine. 10+ PSI at 2000 RPM will bend rods.

what you did, im assuming, was turn it by hand and pull it out to fit over the wastegate. its not actually set at that psi, but is being forced to.

the best thing to do is to get the wastegate tool, and adjust it with that. Adjust to stock settings, drive it for a bit and see if you like it. if not, you can do 1-2 turns MAX.

Bad idea doing it blindly without checking wastegate pressure and without a boost gauge.

The amount of boost isn't the issue, it's the fact that it's coming on so early. That's what bends rods.

No, i think your problem of not building boost was coming from something else... investigate further. Have you done your vacuum lines?

Did you use the ipd wastegate tool? or twist it and pull it on?

okay... that makes more sense... what psi on the tool did you set it too? I believe stock is around 3.5? That may be for just the newer s70s
