850 Driver Side Window Switch Modification

Love my "new" 850, but getting the window down quickly at the tolls or the drive-up ATM isn't easy, especially with 3 screws in my right hand. Has anyone tried adding a window switch to the front door ? It looks like a used rear window switch would fit on the small shelf directly behind the speaker grill. The wiring would be time consuming, but not impossible (?). Would be curious to know if anyone else has tried this.

No. But you could install a single or even an all four driver controller as long as you ran all appropriate wiring.
There is a thread on wiring your door switch to eliminate the auto function though. you might find that helpful.

Yes I have tried it, unsuccessfully. Not sure if it as something to do with the relay or what. I looked at the rear door switches and wires and tried to imitate it but was not successful. I'll try again some other time, not today.
