2000 Volvo S70 Double din touchscreen pictures

Post by icesteve »

Just got a Eonon D2216 double din touchscreen, just installed it along with a $15 back up camera I got off of Amazon. Just wanted to share the finished install. Anyone wondering, I purchased a pioneer double din kit for euro cars from crutchfield, and a wiring harness with iso connectors off Ebay for an s70, shaved the factory rails and the install was straight forward after running the wires from the back up camera.

The pioneer kit came with a trim that fits perfectly in the Volvo double din, just had to shave the trim piece a little to fit around the unit.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to move it to the Volvo Car Audio forum, hope you don't mind. I'll leave a pointer in 850/S70/V70 forum.

Do you find it easy to use/memorize?
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

No problem sorry about that.

Yea its very easy, while I was waiting for the wiring harness I hooked it up in my house just because I'm impatient. it has the feature like Android phones where you can swipe to switch screens, or the main screen has all of the different screens as buttons. As well as a HTC sense style clock.

My favorite feature is the Bluetooth for streaming, automatically connects and plays and can change songs and pause without ever taking my phone off my belt. The screen quality is really good too, DVDs look awesome. I don't have an iPod or iPhone but it has a specific input for them that displays songs information and album art I believe.

the backup camera on reverse automatically works prefect, that camera was in complete darkness to do I'm pretty happy for $15 just have to see how long it lasts.

All in all im very pleased, the unit was $245 and free shipping, got from Hong Kong to Baltimore, MD in about 3 days, which I think is amazing. Eonons online chat support is awesome if you have any questions.

Very nice Iscesteve!!!
I have been thinking to put a DVD like yours on my 98 S70 T5 recenlty. I was not sure where to start but here you came. Just a quick question, when you have the screen completly open at 90 degree angle, is it touch the gearshift nob at Parking position? Can you pass a link on ebay for wiring harness with iso connectors particulaly for our volvo.
I can't wait to put one on my car. It is about time anyway because the original 3 disc CD player was death two weeks ago. All 3 CD's were stucked in the machine

Thank you
Nathan

I have a pioneer Double DIN in my 2000 V70XC. I just ordered a back up camera for $15 on eBay as well and am wondering where you hooked up the automatic reverse?

I looked the other day but didnt seem to find the wire it needs. Also did you find a way to wire up the dimmer to your radio? I can dim all my dash lights except the radio.

Thanks!
