In search of an 18t turbo

Hi Guys

Im currently looking for a used 18t turbo to dump into my 850 R. Does anyone know if the 98-99 V70/S70 T5 had the 18t as standard or whether this was only offered in the V70 R? The idea is to get one cheap from a scrap yard and replace the internals.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The P80 V70R did not have an 18t, either -- all 850/70 HPTs had, as far as I am aware, the 16T.

Only 99 R's had them. 2000 had a 19t. 1998 had a 16t like all the rest of the T5 models.

Doh!! So much for that idea. No chance in hell I will find a wreck for a 99 R just lying about.

You can do some research and put the word out, then its a waiting game... Or throw away a bunch of cash for a new one. Volvo still sells them i believe.
