gas tank leak when filling up

There is a small leak just before the nozzle shuts off on fill up. I went under care and saw a small crack in a hose near gas tank. Dealer thinks it is the vent hose and gas gets up there for a short time on fill up. Does anyone know of a sealant that I can put on the hose to seal the crack, it is rubber and about 1/4 of inch. I would have to be able to put sealant on a long screw driver to get to hose. Otherwise I will have to take to dealer and they will prbably have to drop tank, I'm not sure I can do that myself. Any help is appreciated

Did you find a resolution to this issue? Was it in fact the vent hose that was leaking? Same issue on 2009 XC90, 2 times upon fill-up gas leaking down side.
