Hello Everyone,
I want to buy a complete OBX exhaust system for my 97 850 GLT; however, I am not sure how loud it is. I do not want a loud exhaust system. The factory exhaust that I have now needs to be replaced-- that is the reason for considering this new purchase. I want an aftermarket exhaust system, but something not very loud. Does any one have any experience with these exhausts? The price is great; in fact, it is cheaper then buying an OE exhaust starting from the Catalytic converter back. The OBX exhaust I saw, goes from the Manifold to the muffler tip for about $400.
Thanks for the help!

It's a great exhaust. I was surprised how quiet it was at idle.... Here's some links to it on my car.. Some in car at the track also.

I could not open the Florida link, the youtube link had other videos, but nothing on the car-- I am not sure why that happened. But, thanks for sharing them.
Have you had any problems with the the exhaust system at all? A friend told me that they do not last as long as some other brands out there.
Any recommendation on a higher pressure turbo that is a direct fit, or one with minimal modifications for installation?

I have one. It isn't excessively loud but you can get a little drone while cruising. There are some cheap ways around that if it bothers you.
It's put together surprisingly well for the price. It isn't chintzy if that's what you're thinking. Its better than anything you could get at a chain exhaust place and it's stainless.
I don't see it falling apart quickly, I see no corrosion on mine from this winter's salt. That being said I've never heard of anybody saying that their's has fallen apart.

In case it bothers me, what are the quick fixes for reducing the noise? Thanks!

Weld a muffler in place of the test pipe or somewhere near the back. You'd have to search around for the definitive answer.

Get a spacer for the rear o2 and it won't be an issue.

I have the exhaust, it only drones at around 2500rpm. so go faster or slower or play music. the drone isnt loud. And the exhaust can seem a bit much accelerating normally, but cruising is okay. Get another muffler or a catalytic converter, itll help

Magnaflow makes a resonator you can install. Other than that not too bad. Fit is nice. Love mine.
