s80 Door lock Actuators * DISSECT*

Finally got a new Key and Remote today, programmed, good to go. However, the left doors make the sound like they are locking and unlocking but do not move. Both passenger door locks Lock and unlock with the remote AND the key. So i got a LR lock actuator from the a junkyard and talked them into letting me have it for free... Good thing...IT DIDN"T WORK EITHER!!! same issue..the little gear motor runs but nothing moves... So, Being the diabolical mad iquizisist that I am, Has anyone ever Dissected one of these mechanical disasters to see what fails? My guess is a stripped a worn out gear somewhere inside the case. I have the specimen out and want to open it up, but i want to know if someone else has tried this 1st... Thanks. $161/ ea is not my cup of tea considering I spent $350 today for a new remote, key, and programming , CEM Updated, ETM Flash (oh they told me my ETM is failing)...
