I have a 2001 V70 T5. I need to replace my inside rear view self diming mirror. I found a used one on ebay for around $93.00.
The posted pictures shows the pig tail cut about six inches from the mirror to remove it from the car. I'm assuming that my pig tail will plug into this mirror and that all of those cut wires on the pics aren't needed. Thanks.

this is a not a plain swapping of mirrors.
You need to transfer the circuit board of the original mirror to the replacement. This is the car's UEM and without the original UEM, your car won't start.

Ok thanks. I should have known nothing is simple with one of these cars. I did find buried in one of these forums a step by step to do the circuit board swap. Just need to sum up the courage to take on the project.

A lot of people just get one of those mirrors that has the elastic straps and put over the old one due to the internals of your security system being part of the mirror contraption. Good luck with the swap!
