1994 volvo 850 turbo blower motor problems

Post by Jag91000 »

I recently bought a turbo wagon(with ECC), the old blower motor was bad, so i took the one out of my non- ECC N/A wagon which worked in that car. I placed it in the new car hit the switch... and nothing. I checked the voltage at the harness, read 9 volts, now here's the weird thing. It read 9 volts even in the "0" position. I would assume if there is voltage going to the motor then it would turn, so i pulled the motor back out and held it in my hand. Nothing, even after spinning it. Anyone know whats going on?
Thanks a lot
-Joe

Step one - Confirm that the motor is good with direct battery power.
Step two - Pull out a meter and start digging through these:

Just bought a volvo 1994 850 wagon. It's a second hand car, I bought it from my cousin. Just want to share this to you guys, or to any that will have the same experience as me.

I always observe my blower motor because last time, I heard a strange sound while I'm driving.

hello there! What kind of sound does your vehicle produce? Have you tried to consult a mechanic or auto shop to ask for help for you to know if that should be replace or not.
