96 850 driver window won't go down

So needless to say that I found out in the drive thru of Wendy's that my driver window doesn't go down. All other windows work just fine and I can hear it click when I press the down button, but nothing happens. Help! Where do I start looking?

Could be the switch or motor. Does it move at all?

Due to the location of the window switches they are a prime target for beverage spills. Might you have had an accidental drink spill? Some electrical contact spray may be an easy fix. The swithches can go bad, but I found mine worked fine after some cleaning.
Also, my passengers window did'nt work, so when I pulled the door panel, I found the motor was simply unplugged where a zip tie had come loose. All is now well.

My wife is driving my car and claims she has no idea the window didn't work. Do I have to dismantle something to clean the switch?

No need to remove it. You can try electrical contact cleaner, spraying into the switch while clicking it back and forth.(power off) Use the spray generously, but allow about a half hour to dry if you dowse it heavily.

I've taken the switches apart on my 960. Had some carbon build-up in there on the contacts. It would move one way or the other but did finally stopped working untill I pulled it apart, cleaned it up with some fine sand paper and put it back together.
