I finally got around to ordering one of the snabb intake kits for my s70 t5. Been wanting to get this for a while and since I ordered a new pcv system it was a good time to get it and do it all at same time.

have not got it yet

in the meantime, what do other users think?

I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference, but I don't spend much time in the upper RPMs. It's a nice piece, though.

Mine is 99 s70 T5, and the fitments were not great. Performance-wise, I noticed slight gain at upper RPM but I think it got weaker at lower RPM. Maybe you need to do further intake mod to take full advantage of it. If you are not going to do so and you have a perfectly working intake pipe, i would think again whether there is other urgent repair to pay. Exhaust sound got a little louder. I have EST cat back, and it was not always loud, but now it is always loud. Hose themselves and the clamps seem to be quality parts. Because of that fittments issue, hoses had to be put on with some angle instead of going on straight. So, I had to tighten the clamps real hard to reduce leak. I don't think this will help the hose last long. Another problem was that the PTC grommet were loose. There was a visible gap between the grommet and the pipe, allowing some of un-metered air leaking through it. Somehow, my car is very sensitive to this kind of leak. So, I put some gasket sealant around it. Still, I don't think it is perfectly sealed. It may be working better for 98 cars because I read lots of positive reviews from the owners of 98.

I have one, and I like it! I also installed with with a K&N Ea cone filter though, so I can't really attribute the cool new sound and minor performance increase to one alone. I didn't really have any major problems installing the snabb, but it was a little tricky to get all the parts lined up right before cranking them down. Sometimes if they weren't on all the way, the tightening of the bolts made a silicon piece slip off. This was remedied by making sure they were fully seated first.

On a side note; I'm glad Snabb was brought up. I recently purchased what he described as a "refurbished" throttle plate. I was seriously disappointed when I received it! It was USED, not REFURBISHED as he describes! It has deep gouges on one side, as if someone had a difficult time removing the two screws. No attempt to clean it up or hide it. Because of this I will never purchase from him again. Yes, this little $25 part is a direct reflection of his products and service.

It's a good compliment to an already upgraded turbo back exhaust system. Without that or a tune you won't feel a thing. I noticed quicker spool up and throttle response on the highway.

I have the Snabb pipe in my mostly stock lpt v70xc 1999 (Mo 7). I found early take off was improved and engine noise was louder. Fitment was an issue so I used a heat gun to soften the silicone as i was making adjustments No problems with the ptc nipple. Looks great sounds great. Minor performance gains. Probably better with a ARD tune which can be set to take advantage of the improved airflow.
