Water under drivers seat back passenger floor
Water under drivers seat back passenger floor
The floor on the passengers side behind the drivers seat is very wet, we have mopped it up on several occasions over the last 4 days and then today removed about half a bucket of water with a vacuum. Is this possibly a blocked air con pipe? Also noticed the air con water is not dripping out the bottom of the car when you park. Where would I locate the air con drain pipe so that I can check if it is this that is blocked? Could it be anything else causing this problem - there is no sun roof.

That's a good line of thinking. Obvious, but necessary question, you can rule out rain, right ?it's not rain, right ?
If you run your car with A/C on and let it sit still and there is no puddle underneath (if its real hot outside that is) and if you have no rain recently, I think you found your source - a plugged A/C drain hose.
I read another S40 owner had a blocked A/C drain and the water collected and was blown under the driver seat through the heat ducts and drenched the rear floor.
So, check the air vents under the seats - inside they are probably running water (with A/C on) - this will confirm the source.

Looks like a common problem with (as you suspected) a faulty A/C drain line

Yes. Good point.
Is the liquids clean water or is it sweet slippery like engine coolant?
Is your coolant tank down any fluid ?
