850 washer pump replacement

Hi,
I bought a replacement windscreen washer pump for my 850, and cannot get it to fit properly.
It is identical to the one removed.
But there seems to be no way to create a seal between the reservoir and the pump to stop water leaking out.
Is there a connector between reservoir and pump that I have lost? Or am I just being incredibly daft?

Perhaps you're missing an o-ring or gasket to make the seal.

Thats all I can think of, Does anyone know what part is missing so I can order a new one?

I'm looking at the exploded parts drawing for that, and it does not show an O ring, just the pump into the tank, with a sensor going into a hole right next to it. Check the parts places (FCP Groton, etc. to look at their pictures, and see if it lists any O ring...also, enter 'Volvo 850 Washer Pump" into ebay, and see if any of those come with seals of any type.

Find the leak and take the parts with you to the hardware store to find a seal that may work.

It is literally the hole in the resevoir that the washer oump fits into, there has to be a grommet or something there.
Not sure if I could buy anything of the shelf that wouldn't leak as it has to fit the resevoir exactly and have a hole in the middle for the washer pump to fit into.
