My ATF level was a little low in my 2007 AWD S60. I called around and no one carries Mobil 3309, so I drove to my dealer and bought 4 quarts. It comes in a nice convenient little square 1-gallon jug. For $89 ! Yikes! No wonder its a no service-transmission. Who would throw this expensive stuff out?
Well, I didn't mind or begrudge the investment, especially since its basically a one-time purchase.
Tranny is shifting much nicer now, so I'm happy with that.
I've always gotten frustrated filling through the tranny dipstick tube. At Advance Auto Parts, I bought a funnel called a Hopkins or Flotool Measu-Funnel
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... ent=value4
It works great! It has a twist valve that closes the funnel body so you can control the flow. The end fits perfectly into the dipstick tube.
The S60 dipstick tube is tucked down deep and a little hard to reach. I've had 15 cars and this is the first (one and only time) I ever filled transmission fluid and didn't spill a single drop. Not one drop.
So an $89 investment in lifetime fluid and a great $5 investment in a simple cheap tool.

I have used multiple times the one that IPD sells for $2.95: http://www.ipdusa.com/products/4885/105 ... uid-funnel
The tubing fits pretty snugly in the dipstick pipe, and you wouldn't spill any of the precious fluid (if you don't rush it)

Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

Just seafoamed my 2007. Same funnel - it had a 3/8 nipple on the end which connected right to the brake booster line, and the built in valve let me meter the liquid input.
Worked great

I also just seafoamed my '01 V70...had a little slip once in a while..definitely took care of it after approx 20-30 miles. And yes, I used the $2.95 funnel from IPD as well, worked great ! No drips , No spills...

Was funny - the first time I seafoamed I tried it on the older car first and was more conservative. This time I really did it up right. Driving was like something from Spyhunter with my cloud of smokescreen behind me.
