PTC no. But the flame trap into the side of the throttle body OR the oil separator box itself could be clogged.

Does anybody have a good picture of where the flame trap is on the 99 non turbo engine? All the pictures i can find are for 850's and 98 S/V 70's.

Went out and checked. No flame trap or anything resembling one. For whatever reason none of the diagrams or pictures match what mine looks like. They're close and will be helpful when I do the PCV, but somethings are not matching up and confusing me a bit. So for simplicities sake I'm just going to post pictures of under the hood.

Hi jblackburn,

I know it is not related to my turbo and I may never see a NA but out of curiosity is there a flame trap in the V70's. I thought flame traps were on the 850's with EGR's?

eEuroparts show a Oil Separator for the 99 V70 NA which should be under the intake like the Turbo's correct?

All non-turbo 850's have a flame trap disc, regardless of what emissions system they have (EGR or air pump).

I don't know for sure whether they got rid of the plastic disc once they got to the V70 model, but the oil fume snorkel into the throttle body hose is by all means still there, as it's an essential part of the PCV system on a non-turbo model.

Sorry about the lack of reply. Yeah I think the 70 series doesn't have that plastic disk. Either way when I can afford to order the parts for the PCV (~160USD) ill pull it apart and replace it. And take pictures so others can see the difference between the mechanical throttle and the ETC systems.
