PCV maintenance question

I need to replace the PCV system in my '99 XC and my dads '99 S70 T5. The kits available for the '99 from FCP do not include the hose assembly that attaches from the oil trap-- wraps around the motor-- and attaches to the PTC. Do '99's have this hose? Should I replace this when replacing everything else? My main concern is breaking some of the plastic hoses when I take it off to clean the PTC and replace the oil trap.
The hose I am referring to is the big one in the upper right in the link below. The kits for '99 turbo does not include that hose.

I have emailed a couple vendors. Being that it is the weekend, they are closed, so thought I would ask here.

On the '99s the lines are aluminum rather than plastic. No breaking problems but they can be distorted if you try to bend them too much.

Wrong Lee, the hoses are not metal, where did you get that idea?
The large hose IS the hose that gets clogged and cannot be properly and thoroughly cleaned and that hose itself is $200 (retail from Volvo).
There is a trick but it's a bit hard to explain here and still requires a (cheaper) part and some "mating" this part to the hose
(after you clean it as best as possible)

JRL, In this picture from IPD it looks all metal

You mention a way to clean it. Mind trying to explain. By mating it back together, sounds like you cut it or something. I am pretty handy, so if you could steer me in the right direction I can probably figure something out.

Yes you can clean it but you need to buy a piece of an XC90.
What I have circled needs to be replaced, the rest can be cleaned
They make this part for XC90 with that plastic tube attached (the tube in the picture goes to the left off the middle section of the part)
You can CAREFULLY mate it up and there are some tricks how to do this, however I can't really explain this easily here.
You can clean the rest of that tube.
That piece alone is over $200 from Volvo (retail).
(It may be metal but it's all covered in rubber)

I just did this a couple of days ago, all the parts cost me $75 from Volvo not including the long tube, I believe the P/N you need from Volvo is 30731007
