sunroof cap or replacement alternatives

Post by dirtysouth_boy »

I've got a busted sunroof on my 01 S60. I've been trying to find something to completely seal up the sunroof or some kind of cheap replacement. Possibly just a manual pop-up sunroof? If anyone knows of anything to help I'd appreciate it.

Really not enough details to help. By "busted sunroof" do you mean the glass panel broke or do you mean the mechanism that opens/closes it broke?

Some cars have non-glass sunroofs and those might be cheaper than a glass moonroof but your car (I have the exact same) only came with glass moonroof as an option not a metal solid sunroof option.

If its your mechanism, then you can just leave it closed what do you need to seal up?

If its the glass panel, why do you need a manual system? You will still need a panel and only that panel will fit.

You need to give more details about what is "busted" if you want info and answers

The mechanisms to open and close the moonroof are broken. Some of the little pieces too that help guide it backwards too. I'm just trying to find out how or if it can be sealed up with something aftermarket or what.
