1996 960 Power Passenger Seat stuck on one side

When I push the button to move back/forward the seat moves on the left side but is stuck on the right side. In effect it moves diagnally. This problem just started a few weeks ago. The controls to move the seat up and down, and to tilt are functioning properly. I looked to see if an object has lodged along the right track. It appears clear. Any ideas? If I need to seek repair, what type of mechanic should I look for? I just moved to central Florida.

In many cases this is caused by a faulty drive cable to the side that isn't working.
