This morning on my way to work I turned the vent selector knob to face position. And then adjusted the vent to pull in some fresh air. After each stop, as I accelerate, it draws in transmission fluid odor. I am on 2nd D&F.
If I close the vent the odor goes away. Where to look, what to seal? TIA.

Possibly overfilled?
When I first got my 850 and took a few road trips there often was that strong odor of burning transmission fluid, especially after climbing a hill with my foot into the throttle. When checking the fluid afterwards it came up real high on the dipstick.
Just a thought.

The O-ring seal on the dipstick deteriorated on mine and let the dipstick pop out.

I'd check for obvious transmission fluid leaks first. Trans oil cooler lines, dipstick tube, axle seals, are all good places to start.
If you do not see anyt obvious trans fluid leaks, the A/C refridgerant oil can smell similar to trans fluid - indicating the evaporator core is leaking; which may be likely if it has never been replaced. I'm not saying your evaporator is leaking, just something to consider as you check things out.
Good Luck
