Another 02 xc trans failure!

It would sure help if you posted the mileage and what you think the general condition of your XC is (not incl. the tranny).

What is tranny's serial#?

I did a drain and full two weeks ago and it was running smoother than ever.

It has 192000 miles and is in good condition. The trans is a AW50/51.

It's is ash gold with tan interior, built in boosters. everything works.

I was having hard shifting with the 2001 gold xc70 I just got running 198k miles . I did a drain and fill and its WAY already better. Ill be doing another drain and fill in 4 weeks. Then possibly at another 4 weeks.

Why wait?
I've found that they need at least 3+ drain and fills to get rid of all the bad fluid
I do them all at the same time now and I'm done with it.
Do one, run it on the lift (or jackstands) for five minutes, repeat, etc

What do you think of using a setup like IPD sells and flushing with a 5 gallon bucket?

Do you just flush until its coming out clear ?
