engine revs

i start my car in the morning as soon as the engine warms up its start idling down & up it goes from 600rpm up to 950/1000rpm and goes on like this even when slowing down, it revs way up and pushes the car forward
can you give me any idea whats going on

Sounds like you're having ETM issues. Too bad your ETM is out of warranty. I saw the same issues with my car. After carefully removing the ETM and cleaning it with soft cloth and throttle body spray, I noticed quite a difference.

Also I noticed that after resetting my car's computers (disconnecting Negative terminal

) ETM behavior improved for a few days before going back.

Do your RPMs look like this: ????

I think all of the ETM shinanigans over the past decade have given Volvo a bad name. Especially to a poor college student like myself. I'm sure if you research this further, you will agree.
