Towing with v70 AWD

Ok I admit it I don't have a clue, I'm not a Volvo guy, I'm not even a car guy(I'm a truck guy). I bought a 2000 V70 XC with the intent to tow my tent trailer with it. Now I need to know how to outfit it to do the job.
I put a trailer hitch on it, no not the Volvo one. I found out I can't wire it with a T One connector, is there an aftermarket wiring harness or do I need to go to the dealer?
I've heard I need to put a transmission cooler on it but it looks like it already has one, or should I upgrade?
Do I really need to use synthetic oil while trailering or just change it more often?
Any other tips you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the links, they helped but left me with more questions;
Do they make an after market Nivomat self leveling kit? Where?
My trailer has surge brakes, is that a problem for the v70? Do I need to upgrade the brakes?

whats ridicilous is the dealer wants $150 just for the part!!!!

I have been searching the internet trying to find a tone connector forever now and i cant.

Which side of the truck is the connector on ... i got a 98 xc and i cant even find it to wire an aftermarket one on.
