97 N/A Soon to be parts car to whomever needs any parts!

Post by zero10998 »

Moms 97 854 N/a is on the fritz. i give it a couple of more weeks TOPS before it dies.. :( head gasket is not pretty..

Anyone need ANY parts? whole car full of decent parts. would fix the head gasket but there is also a suspension problem in the back where one of the arms and the frame meet its pretty bad with rot and i wasnt able to align the right rear tire when i took it last so thats a safety hazard and my mom wants a newer car anyways.

all interior TAN CLOTH is in amazing shape wearing its 120k or so us miles well and is still comfortable the drivers seat is power and all works the passegenger is manual adjustments the cup holders are all complete and not broken. just replaced the odometer gear last year so that works perfect! body is in okay shape car is black,

the exterior is okay, no MAJOR dents just minor small dings in random spots that are not noticible. paint still shines and the tires are pretty decent. they were just replaced in the summer of last year and probably only have 10k max on them.

Transmission is great in the car but if u want that id rather you just pick the car up from me and take it out yourself as with any of the rest of the major engine pieces.. any other parts please let me know and i will make a list of who needs what when the car finally quits on us,

CAR IS LOCATED IN SHELTON/STARTFORD CONNECTICUT if you want to pick and pull yourselfs.
- Thanks

This worked on a pretty bad head gasket leak. May save your car?

I had a diesel truck once with a blown head gasket. The leak was so bad it would blow all the coolant out of the engine within five miles of driving. I used a product called Auto-Rx as a last resort before the MAJOR job of replacing the gasket. It sealed the head gasket leak within a couple of miles of driving. It was like magic. I was elated. It only lasted about a year and I eventually had to bite the bullet and replace the gasket, but if it lasted that long on that high compression diesel I suspect it would be nearly permanent on a Volvo engine.

If it was a choice between scraping the car and trying Auto-Rx, I would try it. I don't know if any of the other sealers work or not, but I know the Auto-Rx worked on that diesel so I would use it even though it is more expensive than the stuff you get at the auto parts store, and takes more work to use (you have to drain the coolant and replace it with water for the treatment).

On my way to do the "fix" and the water pump started to leak and tick, let's just say the car made it to the destination and is now parked, still runs but not for very far. So ive had it with this money pit it's a parts car. Now, who ever wants anything let me know! Or whole car is up for grabs, best offer takes it.

Auto-Rx is an oil additive, not a coolant product (you put it in the oil, so it is for engine or transmission or power steering). You must be thinking of another product.
