Radio Noise Suppression relay, can this make car not start?
Hello, I've been looking for a solution to my car not wanting to start after sitting idle for a month, I never had a problem starting the car before but now it will not turn over after I replaced the engine coolant temperature sensor and the temp gauge sensor, I've read that a common problem for these cars are the fuel pump relay and radio noise suppression relay... apparently this can cause rough idle and starting problems because it relates to the fuel injectors, my question is, I have replaced the fuel pump relay and fuel pump I know they are both new and work fine is there a way to test this noise suppression relay before I try to buy a new one I've thrown part after part at this car and still can't get it too work, now I can't even get it to start... also I heard there are 2 noise suppression relays in my type of car 88 760 turbo is this true? do you have to replace both at $25.00 a pop not necessarily cheap any help is appreciated.

The radio suppression relay can be interchanged with the cooling fan relay to see if it is faulty. They are exactly the same, which is unusual in modern cars.
I have never heard that there are two radio suppression relays on your car and only one is listed. One thing that could lead to some people believing this is that the relay on the B230FT is mounted on the driver's side but on the B230F it is on the passenger side. It doesn't confuse me but....
Bill.

In my book, does not turn over means the starter does not turn the engine over. But, does not crank can means that the engine does not turn over or it can mean that the engine does not start.

I'm glad you asked this question.jimmy57 wrote:I'm confused. It will not crank over or it cranks over fine but does not start?
"does not turn over" means starter does crank engine over.

You mentioned replacing the fuel pump. From the factory there are two fuel pumps on your car, a high pressure main inline fuel pump and a low pressure in-tank pump.
